Glock 43x Optic Ready - If you need optics for your Glock 43X, I'm here to help. The Modular Optics System, or MOS, version of the G43X has a factory-cut slide that only accepts microprint-sized optics that use an RMSc-type base. Not every red dot sight (RDS) is suitable.
Initially popularized by the Smith & Wesson Shield series, the RMSc imprint is now used on a variety of rifles including the SIG SAUER P365 series and Springfield Armory's Hellcat optics. Sights are more compact than normal red dot pistol sights and are essential for slim guns like the G43X.
Glock 43x Optic Ready
I have thoroughly researched the use of reflex sights on handguns and have tested more than a few options on the market. To help you decide which red dot will suit your needs, I present a list of optics for the Glock 43X.
Clear See Through! Owb/iwb Right Hand Holster For Glock 43 43x Mos Works With Vortex Venom, Holosun 407c/507c/407k/507k, Burris Fastfire, Doctor, Shield Rms/rmsc, Trijicon Rmr/sro, Ade Rd3 Red Dot
This optic also fits the Glock 48 MOS pistol. While I try to keep the list current, I know I may miss a new product release. So leave information about anything not listed in the comments section below.
Before I get into the details of each optic, here is a chart comparing the features and prices of the currently available options.
MSRP prices for Shield Sights models are estimated based on currency conversion and include UK-imposed VAT.
Rayton Optics offers a powerful mini red dot optic for your slim Glock pistol. Called the X3 TACTIX MPRD, the sight is made from a 6061-T6 aluminum body and multi-coated lenses. In terms of durability, only the Swampfox Sentinel (scroll below) beats it.

The X3 TACTIX MPRD is a fully manual optic with 10 levels of red dot illumination. Levels one and two are compatible with night vision, while the remaining brightness levels are compatible with the Mk1 eyepiece in a range of lighting conditions. The auto-off feature switches on after 12 hours.
Riton claims 99.5% light transmission with its high-density glass and multi-coatings. The lens coatings are said to reduce reflections, improve low-light clarity and resist scratches.
The company has a simple guarantee: if it ever fails, send it back and Raytheon Optics will send you a new one. You don't need to register the product, you don't need any paperwork and you don't even need to be a real customer. The company aims to process all returns within 48 hours. It would be hard to beat this kind of service.
MSRP on the optic is $299.99. The watch is relatively new, so you should buy it directly from Raytheon. As it makes its way to market, I'm sure we'll see discounts in this area at regular retailers.

Shield Sights is the longest running manufacturer of micro red dots for handguns such as the Glock 43X. Currently, the company offers two basic modules: RMSc and SMSc.
Made in England, the RMSc uses an aluminum housing with a polymer lens to display the red target dot. Shield sites do not specify the type of aluminum it uses for the body.
Shield sights use an anti-reflective coating on the lenses to reduce glare when aiming your G43X. Polymer lenses are used in many reflective surfaces and reduce manufacturing costs. However, some people report that the lenses are more susceptible to scratching.
You can buy this scope with a 4 MOA or 8 MOA dot. For me, I prefer 4 MOA, but 8 MOA really gets you going. For close-range defensive shooting, a large dot isn't a bad choice, so choose what you think will work best for you.
What Is The Best Optic For My Glock 43x Mos
The shield does not recognize what light level the scope can use. Instead, the point automatically adjusts depending on the lighting conditions.
Shield offers a 7-year warranty on electronics at RMSc and a lifetime warranty on the rest of the components.
Since Shield is an English company, buying directly from the company requires a currency conversion from US dollars to British pounds. In addition, purchases will include VAT or value added tax. At the time of writing, the suggested retail price of the scope is £300 excluding VAT. After currency conversion and VAT are added, the price is approximately $472.98 plus international shipping.
Another Shield product, this unit has a similar look, but also has a few new features. The most obvious change is that the SMSc uses a polymer casing instead of aluminum.

Shield also reworked the lens. Now you can get polymer lenses with a special hard quartz coating for extra durability and scratch resistance. You can completely replace the polymer lens with a glass lens.
As with the RMSc, the SMSc is a fixed viewfinder with automatic brightness adjustment. When mounted on your Glock pistol, the sensor measures ambient light and changes the relative brightness of the red dot.
The SMSc can be purchased with a 4 MOA or 8 MOA reticle. Enjoys the same 7-year/unlimited warranty as the RMSc.
With a quartz-coated polymer lens, the MSRP including VAT for the SMSc is $346.85. The glass lens upgrade will cost an additional $126.13 for a total of $472.98. Incidentally, it is the same price as RMSc.

Alternatively, you can try buying from a US-based retailer. However, currently, the only retailer that has them appears to be the Springfield Armory. The company's asking price is $299, but they don't expect to stock anything other than out of stock.
If you don't already know, SIG SAUER is now an optics manufacturer. The company makes everything from rangefinders to high-powered riflescopes. One of the latest additions is the Romeo Zero RDS, which fits the Glock 43X and other slim pistols.
The Romeo Zero is made with a polymer housing and lens. It feels light—about 0.4 ounces, according to the company's specifications.
In terms of durability, I prefer a 6061 or 7075 aluminum case, however, polymers have proven to be a durable material for gun parts. Also, I prefer glass lenses. However, polymer is a stable optic material so you should be fine with this scope unless you abuse it.

The SIG uses a motion-activated system to engage the array point. The system seems to work well and I have no problem relying on it.
The brightness of the space is controlled manually. With the Romeo Zero, you get 8 manually adjustable brightness levels. There are two models: one with a 3 MOA dot and another with a larger 6 MOA dot.
One of the highlights of this look is its price: $219. Online shopping brings the total price under $200 with free shipping. This is by far the best value deal on this list.
Reader Mike W. emailed me about Romeo Zero compatibility with the G43X MOS. He said the mounting screws included with the scope are too long for a Glock pistol. This reflects a problem I found when trying to install a Romeo Zero on a Springfield Armory Hellcat.

I am trying to find a replacement set of screws. It has been suggested to me that this M4-0.70x8mm flathead screw is a good alternative, but I have yet to confirm this.
If you are running a Romeo Zero in your Glock 43X MOS, can you tell us what modifications or replacement bolts you should be using?
Sentinel is tough and built to take a beating. Swampfox builds the body from 7075-T6 aluminum – the same hard metal used in forged AR lowers.
For the lens, Swampfox uses optical glass that is multi-coated to resist dust, water, mud and scratches.

Additionally, Sentinel is the only facility on this list that has an IP rating: a standard rating system for measuring water and dust ingress to electronics and other devices.
Sentinel is IPX7 rated. This means that it can be submerged up to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. No other optic offers anything like it.
SwampFocus offers RDS in two models: one is fully manual with 10 brightness levels, while the other is a continuous version with infinitely adjustable, automatic brightness levels. I have the fully automatic version and it works exactly as advertised.
The photosensor samples the ambient lighting and adjusts the 3 MOA red dot almost instantly. In actual use, I found it to work perfectly.
Comparing The Glock 43x To The Glock 43: In Depth Analysis
Swampfox offers a 50k cycle warranty on the Sentinel. In other words, if you have a problem with it during the first 50,000 rounds, they will fix it. If you shoot 1,000 rounds a year, you will be backed by the company for the next 50 years. However, I bet the company will take action for any defect in their production regardless of the round number.
Due to the incredible popularity of the Sentinel, viewings sell out quickly. However, they are available here at a discount.
